Man hospitalized after shooting in Gulfton area, Houston Police Department says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A man was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday evening after a shooting in the Gulfton area, the Houston Police Department says.

According to a social media post from the HPD, officers responded to the scene of the shooting in the 5700 block of Rampart Street near Glenmont Drive.

Authorities said a man was then rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

According to HPD, no one has been detained in the incident, adding that the investigation is ongoing.

Police did not release the identity of the victim or what led to the shooting.
